LJLA reserves space for one article in the first issue of each annual volume. Symposium articles address timely legal topics and are delivered by prominent legal scholars and practitioners.

2019 Inaugural Symposium
Dr. Austin Sarat, William Nelson Cromwell Professor of Jurisprudence and Political Science and Associate Dean of the Faculty at Amherst College, has dedicated his career to the study of the law in the context of the liberal arts. His teaching is dedicated to introducing undergraduate students to an interdisciplinary approach to the study of law. He is also a prolific scholar who has written dozens of books, including, most recently, Guns in Law, an edited volume from the University of Massachusetts Press.
